![]() ![]() To the right of the palette, you see a box with a swatch of the current foreground color, as well as a drop-down menu for setting the Color Picker’s user preferences. In the center of the palette, you will see the current HSB values, plus four eyedroppers for different color modes. In the Color Picker window, you will see a palette of colors on the left-hand side and HSB (Hue, Saturation, and Brightness) sliders directly beneath it. When you do this, the Color Picker will automatically appear as separate window. Turning it on is a simple process.įirst, make sure you are in the Tools panel and select the Eyedropper tool. The Color Picker tool in Adobe Photoshop is a great way to quickly select and work with colors in your artwork. If you have an eyedropper-shaped icon on the Toolbox – it’s the one next to the color picker – you can click on it and it will change your foreground color to whatever color your mouse is hovering over on the canvas. Once you have activated the tool, click on the canvas (or within a selection) and GIMP will fill it with the color you have picked. ![]() To activate the Bucket Fill tool, click on the icon in the Toolbox or press Shift + B. Once you have selected the color you want, you can use it with the brush, airbrush and gradient tools, or you can use the Bucket Fill tool. You can then click on the color you want to match, or slide the circle around in the larger box to the right to choose a color. When you select it, you will be presented with a palette of colors on the right side of the screen. Matching a color in GIMP can be done using the color picker tool, which is a magnifying glass-shaped icon on the Toolbox. ![]()
